About the author

Thomas Brandt was born in Bremen, Germany in 1954. After studying Fine Art and Art History at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, NRW, Germany, he worked briefly at the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen before becoming head of the renowned Kulturforum Alte Post—School for Art and Drama in Neuss. He held this position for 19 years, from 1988 until 2007. Today, he works in art education as well as an artist and author.
