Published by the Museum of American Art of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (and distributed by U. of Pennsylvania Press), in conjunction with an exhibition organized during 1996. The exhibition partially reconstructs a 1921 watershed exhibit (also organized by the Academy) titled "Exhibition of Paintings and Drawings Showing the Later Tendencies in Art."
