I must have read this soon after it was published (I thought I read it when I was eight years old, but I was actually already ten).
A wonderful book that I would love to read again but it's been out of print for a long time now and I've never found a copy.

After more than 50 years of trying to find this book, I finally succeeded! I found one today and it will arrive in the mail tomorrow.
I actually had to shed a tear... 🥹. I'm going to read it immediately and will publish my thoughts soon.

Mooi boek, maar het leek alsof Herzen het begin heel goed had uitgewerkt en naar het einde toe steeds minder ideeën had over waar het heenging. Het einde kwam dan ook een beetje uit het niets, er was geen voorbode voor de nogal vage confrontatie bij de Bergen van Stilte.

Het boek schijnt niet meer in druk te zijn, maar voor kinderen lijkt het me zeker een leuk (voorlees)boek als je het kan vinden.
