Short...interesting insights, especially so far after the fact. Few shots from opposition but nothing substantial. A balanced view of life in government. Would like to read the 2004 followup after having been in government.

A fantastic read for anyone who wants to learn about what politics was like for women in the late 70s and 80s. I was particularly struck by her willingness to stand up for gay rights before anyone else would. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about one of Canada's most accomplished politicians.
