So much great information--lacks a bit in the story-telling, but this isn't popular nonfiction, it's an extremely well-researched and detailed rundown of an important expedition.

Interesting historical references for amateur (ham) radio, Zenith, and aircraft design. Also, a fair treatment of Richard Byrd's ego which is not reflected in his historical accolades.
