The nerdiest thing I've probably ever read. I can't even explain why I liked it so much. It's completely outdated (as you can see from the title). But I was fascinated by the descriptions of the different pastiches, and I enjoyed the snarky asides Herbert sometimes inserted into the text about particular perhaps terrible ones. And the chapter about Sherlock porn was especially giggle-worthy. This book is probably for Sherlockians only.
