Interesting book for boys about being sensitive to other people’s feelings and learning to talk about it/them. Patti is sad. Initially Doug thinks it’s because of him but he asks and she tells him she’s sad because it’s almost the 3rd anniversary of her mother’s death. Doug feels tongue tied but ultimately he and Patti can talk about it all. Late 2nd or 3rd grade level.
