The Road to Depravity

Rate this book
Helen's husband, Alan, has walked out on her yet again; but this time she won't take him back. Thirty years old and extremely attractive with long black hair, Helen is enjoying her freedom—and she has no shortage of men after her. But Alan won't leave her in peace. When she discovers that he's spying on her through the lounge window, watching her having sex with a male friend, she's initially shocked. But she soon realizes that his voyeurism is a great turn on. Knowing that Alan is watching, she enjoys one sexual encounter after another. Taking things further in order to shock Alan, she experiments sexually with Mary, a young blonde lesbian. Helen's sexual conquests plunge her deeper into the pit of depravity to the point where she enjoys group sex. Alan takes his voyeurism to the extreme by hiding in the house and watching Helen with her sexual partners. Unsure what his long term goal is, Helen again tries to shock him. Indulging in bondage and spanking, she's not sure whether she wants to be rid of Alan or continue to enjoy his spying.

Nope i knew of a guy who did that to his wife and hot ,legal age daughter. I thought what the fuck for.
Either just fuck her her or ask for a show. But then again I knew of a married woman who loved getting fucked by her dog. With socks on.
Another hot chick, whose dog she called her cunt licker. Differant strokes for differant folks but fuck. Really. ......really. Also a really nice girl-i must add.
A group of mates used to punch up one mate, playfully, who was into scatology-.yum. No thanks. Obviously he got his rocks off with a degradation kink.Exteme, extreme bdsm.
These are not metaphors.

If you're looking for a complete "porn-fest" it's a great book with lots of sexual scenes, great "porno-thills" descriptions and the like. As a reader of many erotic novels and an amateur author of my own ones, I have to say that I found it excruciating that he has the tendency to repeat himself over and over and over.

Admittedly, I've read this book about 3-4 times now but as I've started reading it aloud to my husband, I really do realize how much he uses the same words, the same thoughts and the same repetitive speech patterns. I mean, Jesus Ray, learn a new word for "thought" other then "Pondered", "mused" and "reflected". :P I can actually feel myself kicking myself every time I read the word "lesbian" too; as I tend to hate that word. It just sounds so ugly and it's over used to the point of unnecessary. (e.g.; "lesbian sex with my lesbian lover.")

The fact the husband, who she doesn't care about apparantly, is there every time and the fact she then suddenly decides she DOES care what he thinks makes me roll my eyes too. Needs t be more thought out I felt, as the story was just... rushed?

Over all, three stars as it "gets the job done."

Rarely do I have the misfortune of reading horrible books like The Road to Depravity by Ray Gordon. While the plot is bearable, if not ridiculous and highly contrived, the writing is so awful that it made reading this book a nightmare. Every idea is repeated ad nausea making it seem as if you've reread each page many times. Maybe he was told to expand the story because it was too short and instead of adding he just repeated sections.

Helen's husband Alan is psychologically abusing her. When he walks out, expecting her to beg his return, she instead embarks on sexual exploration with the neighbors involving prostitution, group sex and exhibitionism. Her desperation allows them to exploit and abuse her and in the end, forces her to open her own private whore house. All this while her husband, hiding outside, pathetically watches through the window. The sex, while plentiful, is neither sensuous nor erotic.

My advice is that you avoid this book at all costs.
