English Country Interiors: Inside Cotswold Homes

Rate this book
The Cotswolds (Gloucestershire, West Oxfordshire, and parts of North Wiltshire) have a rich history, stunning architecture, and glorious countryside. English Country Interiors features 18 specially photographed Cotswold homes with traditional charm, each house belonging to a person with a particular trade, from bee-keeping to carpentry. Many period-style buildings are shown, including a mill house, a shooting lodge, and a terraced cottage. Mark Nicholson’s stunning photography brings alive this beautiful part of England, capturing the essence and feel of each individual property.

I really enjoyed this book for the close up into English Country interiors. Sometimes it's just inspiring to see how others decorate their homes, and this book gave me loads of inspiration. North does a good job of presenting the detail in easy to absorb, and not so easy to resist images and text. I seriously couldn't put this down, and reread it from front to back in only hours. If you enjoy peeking into the homes of others, you'll enjoy this read.

This book features various Cotswold homes...cottages in some instances. It is a nice read for the specicficity that offers. Again, the elements of design are there and give an overall good sense of the ideas at hand.
