David Allan Stewart is an English musician, songwriter and record producer, best known for Eurythmics, his successful professional partnership with Annie Lennox.] He is usually credited as David A. Stewart, to avoid confusion with other musicians named Dave Stewart. He won Best British Producer at the 1986, 1987 and 1990 Brit Awards.
Hands down, my favourite non-fiction book for the year. Or perhaps even favourite non-fiction book, period. Filled with fun exercises to jolt your creativity, quotes and story excerpts, this book is fun and easy to read.
Used this book as a textbook for the class I teach at UNCW on Creativity and Innovation. The students seemed to enjoy it. It's humorous (bordering on crass occasionally but most college students don't mind that), extremely colorful, and offers a good overview of applying creativity to business ventures.
It has an app for iPad, which is also good, but the app appears a bit abandoned by its developers. I don't think this is a project they are continuing to update.
The text is co-written by Dave Stewart - one half of the 80's pop duo The Eurythmics - in his first person voice. He has become something of an expert on the intersection between creativity and commerce. Props to Mark Simmons for co-authoring a book in another person's voice and POV. I've done that, it is harder than it seems. I will likely use this book for this course again.
Another self help book for developing creativity. No really new ground is established by this book, as the advice offered are similar to what many others have already said. But if you have not read other books on developing creativity, this one is okay, I guess. I am sceptical about books teaching creativity because I don't believe creativity can be taught. I think creativity is something one is born with. However, if you have innate creative traits, reading ideas from others can spur your own creative juices.

Excellent read, I have both book and Audible version. Will reread and listen to it regularly. Used some of the information in a problem solving class with upper management, they were not buying it until I used some of the creative ideas from the book. The last words I remember hearing as I dismissed the class was "I thought you was sh--ing me, but your legit. Made my day...
