Kathleen E. Kovach is an award-winning Christian romance author published traditionally through Barbour Publishing, Inc. as well as indie. She has ten novels and four novellas published in both contemporary and historical themes. Kathleen and her husband Jim raised two sons while living a nomadic lifestyle for over twenty years in the Air Force. Now planted in northeast Colorado, she’s a grandmother and great-grandmother, a real feat since she’s much too young for either. She presents spiritual truths with a giggle, proving herself as one of God's peculiar people.
Kathleen also enjoys glamping (glamour camping) in her RV, music, (either on a praise team or rocking out to the oldies in her car,) butterflies, caroling snowmen in threes, lilacs, and the color blurple (blue and purple because she loves both.) Her rescue puppy (who is now 50 lbs!) is also high on the list.
I had a hard time getting into this book and it took me quite a bit longer to read than I expected. Although I found each of the stories informative, especially about the alpacas and birds in the first and last stories, I just couldn't relate to the characters. I kind of found some of them to be annoying.
Again I understand that it's billed as a Christian romance novel, but I felt like a lot of the religion stuff was just thrown in to remind you and it's a Christian book and took you out of the story. I think it could have been included in a more natural way.
This was a beautiful set of love stories. I've never really read books about relationships with such a godly background. I really liked that all the main characters were connected in some way, and they even talked to Hannie and Tom! I love that Hannie and Tom got married. The minute I heard him telling her story, I just thought "he loves her"
