Claus enlists a family of elves to help make toys for children in the Old Forest, but when the cottage becomes too crowded, they move to the North Pole, beginning the tradition of delivering toys to children around the world on Christmas Eve
Wow, I'm impressed already: When raising my son I bought Tom Paxton CDs. I've even seen him in concert.
Here Tom has given us such an inventive, creative, heartfelt fiction. All the better, the super-lively pictures of Santa's elves (by Michael Dooling) look remarkably like human children, ha ha!
Goodreaders, this is the best picture book I can imagine, telling the story of Santa Claus. This isn't just a book but the start of a family tradition. Reading it year after year and generation after generation, how could one ever tire of this delightful picture book?
