First of all, I didn't like the cover at all. I don't know, I didn't connected the book cover neither title of the book. So, it's kinda worried me that i ended up not going to like it.
The story, hahhhh, what should I say. It's okayish for me and it's not for me. And it's a third person pov. I don't read third pov that much. The book is story telling. Lol.

Nick, who is not ready for relationship and family at all but ended up having one night stand that turns into surprise pregnancy. Cameron, dumped by her boyfriend, not looking for anything serious right now but ended up having one night with Nick, both are attending Cameron sister wedding, there they got super attractive with each other.
Both are totally opposite and different perceptive, the story is what will happen in their lives after finding out the pregnancy news. Do they turns into lovers? Do they want relationship with each other? Nick is ready to be dad?

In the first, author talked about Nick and Cameron, what are they and their characters and all. We get to know about individual personality of each other and also we can read throughout the pregnancy and their relationship, how much they grow on each other, finding each other everything and all.

It's a okay one but that so good. For me, it's a one time read. Till now, I can't digest about the book cover. No offense just my thoughts on this.

I received a E - ARC to review this book.

As Usual!!!

Ms. Ann hit it out of the park! This long awaited addition to the series was well worth the wait. I love how the characters from the previous novels in the series have prominent roles in this story. Nick and Carmen were excellent together as they grew through their toxicity and mistrust issues. The way Ms. Ann can turn a phrase with humor and other emotions is just "chef's kiss". I have every book she has written & can't wait for her next installment...Lachlan, you say???😉😉

This book was a very sweet romance for me. I also accepted it as a second chance after one night stand.

I haven't read Anthony and Baptiste books, but It was really nice to see the main characters from previous books.

Nick wasn't a womanizer, but he still had his fair share of sleeping around with women. Carmen was the opposite. She was a really sweet and beautiful woman. She had a small car accident which resulted in her boyfriend dumping her. She was sick from all her fake friends and fake life. Both MCs met at Carmen's sister's wedding. And there she met Nick.

I am usually used to some authors starting the story straight after the summary. But in this case Ann Christopher did a brilliant job, giving the reader a chance to get to know Nick and Carmen from the beginning. They were instantly attracted to each other. We see them all through the entire wedding, their flirting and the start of their love story.

I've said it before, but I will say it again. I love when both characters in the main story are older. For me this means that they are wiser than their younger self. Well, there were some actions that spoke: I am still thinking like a child 🤣.

Nick was a complicated character. Even after all this time sleeping with other women, he still feels empty inside and I am soo glad that Carmen was the woman that changed him. After she gets pregnant, we see a different side of Nick. A side filled with care, love, laughter and beautiful moments.

I will always choose a surprise pregnancy - I love that trope however I didn't love this book's cover so thankfully I read the description else I wouldn't have chosen this based on the cover alone.

I think Ann understood the assignment with this one. By the end, I loved both main characters and was super happy with the storyline

I was not a fan of Nick and his judgements on women - the womanizing and conquering didn't set well with them. Carm was great however I had a hard time believing she was a doctor with all her insecurities

Once Carm was pregnant is were this book got good - Nick was not a likeable person and the road to co-parenting was the main concern

I loved the dynamic between Nick and Carm - they were both hurt and needed each other to make things right

All in all, I thought this was cute and redeemed itself at the middle and to the end

This is the first book I read by the author and I am in love with her work. The way she narrated the story it was too loose myself in it. I am in love with the world she has created. My only disappointment is not reading her books sooner.

Nick and Carmen have one of the sweetest love stories. I was rooting for them from the first chapter and wanted both of them to get the happiness they deserved after knowing what both of them have been through.

I loved there journey of falling in love and creating a family. There were moments that made me swoon. I am gonna go back and read the book of some of the other characters. Cannot wait for the next book.

Thanks to Ann and Grey's Promotion for the advanced copy.

I thought this was such a sweet book. This is the first time I've read anything from Ann Christopher, but I really enjoyed her style of writing. Nick is an Italian billionaire playboy. He doesn't stay in one place long, or with the same woman for long. Carmen is a doctor. All she wants is a one-night stand. But both are in for a surprise. Nick and Carmen's love story was so sweet. I enjoyed the banter between these two, and Carmen's sass was everything. Watching them fall in love and start their lives and family had me swooning. I definitely would recommend this book.

Nick: When I Fall in Love is Carmen and Domenico’s small-town romance that is as heartfelt as it’s beautiful.

Synopsis:
Domenico Rossi aka Nick never really recovered from his loss more than a decade ago. He lives the high life now, but seeing his friends settling down is unsettling him.

Carmen Harrison hates all things weddings, especially with her recent ugly breakup. But she meets Nick at her sister's fiancé’s friend's wedding and again is unceremoniously dumped in the cruellest way possible.

Review:
The cover is quite interesting; I love birds, and there are two perched on the hero's broad shoulders. And since this is a pregnancy romance, I'm loving the baguette-holding hero.

The story opens with Nick trying to have fun with his boarding-school friends Jean-Baptiste Mercier (and his fiancée Samira Palmer from No Ordinary Love and Beyond Ordinary Love) and Anthony Scott (and his girlfriend Dr Melody Harrison from Everything I Hoped For and Everything I Need). But soon, fun is what he has in spades when in walks Carmen (Melody's elder sister).

Set in the small town of Journey’s End, New York, the story begins instantly as sparks of anger and teasing banter fly between the protagonists.

At 38, Carmen is mad at the world that she is close to losing her window of having her own child, especially after her recent pregnancy scare. A dermatologist who isn't reaching her desired life goals, she wants a family first and foremost, now that she’s well-settled with her career and has achieved her ambitions.

This is my first read by Ann Christopher and I'm loving her writing, especially her metaphors. And the humour she has sprinkled throughout the story is a bonus.
Was he a jerk? Absolutely. But he’d mastered tall, dark and handsome like a champ.

Narrated in the third person, Nick: When I Fall in Love is a book that not only has a unique name but also a wonderful story that I loved savouring over an entire week.

Nick is the owner of a balsamic vinegar company and real estate firms. At 36, he has lost all hope for love and only lives for the thrills. The story takes a 2 months leap soon after it begins, with Carmen in all her early pregnancy glory and an overbearing Nick to boot.
God, those eyes of his. The way they sparkled at her when he smiled. That laugh. That charisma. That protective concern about her well-being. How the hell was she supposed to keep her wits about her while dealing with all of that?

Okay. It's quite late in the book that I get to know about Nick not doing anything for work. He's not driven, people! And that is something that has happened for the first time! Nick threw himself a nasty pity party and I too felt sorry for him at times though but also liked seeing him grovel.

While there's a good dose of sexy photoshoot thrown in while on a visit to Rome, the dead wife is somewhat like a persistent cloud hovering between them. Nick and Carmen do have a happy ever after though, with Anthony and Baptiste’s help, and the story ends with a wonderful epilogue 3 months later.

This is my first read by Ann Christopher and I want to read all of her books now.

Nick is a rich man indulging in rich man things, but lately, he's feeling a bit empty with it all, especially the women. Carmen is a sweet woman, who is at a crossroads in her life when she meets Nick at her sister's wedding, and there's an instant attraction that led to a hookup since she wasn't looking for anything more after a breakup. Little do either know that there's a party favor after that hookup, and now we get to see how it's going to work as they get to know each other. I did enjoy getting to know them separately beforehand, but with that, and everything after the test was positive, it did have a slow burn variety that slowed things down in my eyes. I'm not saying that's bad at all, but it is a personal preference for me that's all. Ann Christopher is a new to me author, so I'm definitely excited about checking out her other work, because her writing style is compelling despite my impatience LOL! Anyway, that's all from me, now it's your turn in order to find out if these two ended up together or not! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What's more than four and almost five stars?

I deliberately waited to read this and now I'm sad it's over 😭😭😭

This was a beautiful story, even with Nick's self centeredness and immaturity and vast need for therapy. A man with all that money should've had Freud resurrected and living in the guest bedroom for 24 hour access.
But even though he makes himself a perpetual victim, you can't help but to empathize with him being mentally stuck at the age of his trauma. I loved Carmen with her demands for all that she was worth and unwillingness to settle and her self awareness. If I had one criticism of the story, I wish we'd seen Nick doing the work of healing. Getting from point a to point between the last chapter and the epilogue left it feeling like something was missing.

That was such a joy to read! This can be read as a stand alone. I didn’t feel like I missed anything. Though it does make me want to read the books on Baptiste and Anthony. That was a wonderful cast of characters. The friendship between Nick, Baptiste, and Anthony had me laughing. There was a handful of heartfelt moments as well.
The banter between Nick and Carmen was great. Carmen’s sass was everything. I did get a bit annoyed with Nick’s constant self pitying and he was a bit too pushy throughout Carmen’s pregnancy. Otherwise, When I Fall in Love was a solid book. I will definitely read more of this series.

Nick, when I fall in love

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I received this as an arc from Valentine PR

This is my first Ann Christopher book, and I was pleasantly surprised, as I wasn’t sure going into this book.

Nick is an Italian billionaire with a broken heart. He uses women to fill the void. He is a playboy who doesn’t stay in one place long, or with one woman long.

Dr Carmen Harrison, just wanted a one night stand. She thought that’s all it was, until a surprise pregnancy changes that.

Pull out the Hankies!

I don't know how, but these Journey's End books evoke so many raw emotions! You laugh, cry and look in with wonder and joy at these lives unfolding in these stories! And, the ones who touched the heart strings the most was these men opening up to show wounded souls that needed healing! And, that healing came as they allowed themselves to love and be loved by family, friends and that special one woman! It was pure joyous entertainment meeting Nick and reading of his journey to his place of happy with Carmen and a new life!

Nick is an Italian billionaire playboy, who does not stay in one place or with one woman for long, and Carmen is a doctor who just wants a one night stand, which has a surprise for them both. This is a well written small-town romance, with opposites attract, surprises, second chances, emotions, and love, which leads to a compelling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Good reading📚 and entertaining ✍🏾

I have to remember, never read a book written by this author in the park. With the laughter and gamut of emotions that I experienced and expressed aloud, many joggers and people walking by my bench perhaps thought I was 50 cards shy of a deck. Engaging place, "Journey's End"!

One spark of emotion can have explosive results. When I Fall in Love turns a flashy masquerade into an irresistible delight. Christopher delves deep into the unpredictability of life, love and second chances with a grace of thought that is refreshingly haunt and exceptionally real.

Add me to the list of people who didn't like the cover. Nick was supposed to be cultured and a playboy, and the cover didn't convey that, IMO. Unfortunately, I didn't really like Nick in the book either. He worked my nerves with his whole 'woe is me' attitude. I liked Carmen immediately, though.

I have been an Ann Christopher fan forever, especially her earlier work, but this one fell a bit short for me. I may be the problem as the current state of this country has pretty much killed my interest in and enjoyment of IR novels, so keep that in mind.
