The Success Fantasy

Rate this book
One of the serious problems of our day is that so many people compare their successes to false standards. Even when they achieve their goals, they feel empty and emotionally bankrupt, because they have not put their work alongside of God's measurements for success. Tony Campolo is a prophet with practical ideas you can put to work in your everyday life. This book captures what Tony does best - weaving together sound biblical theology, practical sociology, and workable psychological insights.

Easy read and thought provoking. Interesting to read this book now through the lens of twenty first century America. Tony Campolo shares great insight into the worldly definition of success from the point of view of a wise pastor. It’s like having a nice conversation with Tony.

This is a thin book and an easy read but a great tool to keep us grounded. It really helps fight against the desire to prove we are so called "successful" and then give you some great insight into why we fall into that trap.
