This non-fiction book provides uses a simple and organized format to relay facts about 8 different dinosaurs. For each dinosaur, it provides name pronunciation, a chart showing how big the dino was compared to humans, a large picture of the dinosaur, and more facts. This book was written in language that is simple enough for most preschoolers to understand. As a teacher, I would use this book once per day to explore one or two of the dinosaurs covered. It would be a great way to introduce the genre of non-fiction reading and highlight the non-fiction elements included in this book.

Each book focuses on a certain type of dinosaur with amazing illustrations that will enthrall young readers. The author does a nice job of describing each one with a helpful bonus in explaining how to pronounce the difficult name of each.

G 5yrs "It got 5 stars because it gotten my favorite dinosaur, spinosaurus. He's bigger than T rex, and bigger than anybody. He's very, very, big. If a Trex and a spinosaurus were mixed together it would have a long tail and a long spine and long claws. The tail would have a spine, too. The plant eaters ankleosaur and triceratops were not in this book. I liked the words in this book."
