I strongly endorse this book by Randall Ponder of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The book gives much detail on the various skills needed by leaders and managers, while not ignoring the big picture of what these individuals need to do daily. This is a must-have addition to your library.

I was able to get a copy of this book (it's out of print but pending a revised-and-updated edition). I was floored by some of the great suggestions, categorized by skills, that we all use as managers and individual contributors. It is not a difficult book to understand. By that, I mean it in two ways: 1) the prose is straight-forward and not over the top like you see in a lot of books; and 2) what is written actually makes sense. I give a big thank you to Mr. Randall Ponder of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Wonderful book that is full of easily used advice for a particular audience, that is, managers, leaders, and team members. I have seen many great books on management and leadership, and this one in that category. Why? Because the author makes it easy for the reader to learn the skills needed us all. One skill at a time. Thanks to Randall Ponder, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

You cannot go wrong with this book by Randall Ponder, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; 2005 edition. It is especially relevant to today's issues regarding corporate mismanagement and the treatment of employees at work. This is well worth the small cost.

This review is for the 2005 edition of “Leadership Made Easy” (Entrepreneur Press; Randall Ponder; Baton Rouge, Louisiana). Someone gave me a used copy of this book last month and I read a chapter or two each day and completed it within 3 weeks. I completely enjoyed it and gained an immense amount of knowledge/skills from it. I liked the easy to read format, straight-forward language, and breadth of the topic. The author took me from knowing very little about the subject to knowing a fair amount that will help me in my job, which is a non-managerial job. I liked the way he grouped the skills into 4 major categories: 1. Understanding Leadership. 2) Technical and Job-related Skills; 3) Relationship Skills; and 4) Strategic Skills. This book definitely will help me out and I recommend it to anyone in a managerial or non-managerial role in a team-based setting.

I was quite impressed by this book on leadership (‘Leadership Made Easy’, Randall Ponder, Baton Rouge, Louisiana). I’ve read quite a bit on the leadership and management, and this book serves as an excellent primer on the subject. I bought it used, and it’s just over 200 pages in a soft cover format, so it doesn’t take too long to absorb. In particular, I liked the layout of the book’s chapters. The chapters cover various skills and then when reading the chapter, you will learn in detail about the subject. Plus, unlike some books I’ve read, Ponder’s book does not bounce all over the place---it stays on course and focuses on what each chapter is supposed to focus on. Highly recommend the book.

Just finished Leadership Made Easy by Randall Ponder. This was a highly informative book that told me everything I needed about what I did not know about leadership and management, as well as those things that I needed to improve upon. I strongly recommend this book without hesitation. I plan on having some internal learning sessions on individual chapters of the book.

This is a super book that took me less than a week to finish and it was important that I took it a little slowly. I wanted to digest and understand all of the chapters, which are categorized by the top skills that are needed by a leader or manager. I think the author hit a home run with this book because finally, I was able to easily understand the details and nuances about the skills needed by leaders and managers. Great presentation, easy reading, and the right amount of detail. I thoroughly enjoyed Leadership Made Easy by Randall Ponder.
