If it Glitters Doesn’t Mean it’s Gold

Felix, like the cat, must have nine lives, and he risks all of them for hedonistic pleasures. Nikki, Rhonda and Meka all believe they’re his one and only. Three should be enough with Felix’s work schedule, but Toya offers him a new challenge. Add to that a high profile case and the possibility of becoming partner and Felix has stretched himself quite far.

A.J. Williams’ “4 Play...Never Say Never” begins like a bad pornographic movie. The main character runs around making decisions based on his penis and nothing else. Slowly the story line is developed and is actually decent for the most part. The way the characters connect up is a bit of a stretch but somewhat believable. The ending has a twist that grabs the reader and makes you want to read the sequel.

Felix is not your everyday kind of man. He is successful, good looking and has a sex drive that most men brag about having, but usually don’t. In this tale, Felix shows how a real playboy juggles four women and he does it well. These four women bring Felix pleasure beyond belief, but they also bring a lot of drama and heartache to this bachelor. Although his mother constantly stresses him about giving her grandchildren, Felix does his best at elude the marriage, family and children bullet by filling his life with outstanding sex.
Sex, suspense, drama, murder, backstabbing, double crossing are all the elements in this book. Meka, Nikki, Rhonda and Toya all added to Felix’s lifestyle of being a “Playa.” They did things that a lot of women wouldn’t dare to open up their mouths to admit. They also caused Felix stress, anguish, dysfunction and almost his life. That didn’t stop this playboy from scheming, lying and cheating. Even after he almost lost the woman he finally claim to love and want to marry, he still found himself being true to his “Playa,” ways.
This tale is truly a page turning, drama filled read. The characters were strong and keep me wondering who was going to do what next. This novel offered a list of twists and turns that made it hard to put down at times. The only thing I can say that I was not pleased with in this book were some of the scenario’s. Some were too farfetched and not believable to me. There were times I was like, “c’mon, really,” and that’s what made this book a four verse a five for me. Overall A. J. Williams did a great job entertaining me with this book. Even though some things were a bit over the top, this book was a great read!
