Must have!!! By far this was the BEST guide I've found for taking a FAMILY trip into Yellowstone and Grand Teton. The recommended hikes (and bike rides and paddle boat trips) include wildflowers and geology and wildlife you'll likely see along the way. I'll be buying this one for sure.

A worthy guide book, lists 48 hikes, trail map for each, and difficulty rating. We used it for several hikes in Yellowstone and one in Grand Teton.

I really liked the format and organization of this book. It was specifically geared toward families which means it had good information on seeing Yellowstone with kids. I was disappointed that some sites were left off (sites that I had seen on multiple top 10 to see in Yellowstone lists). It's almost like the author assumed you knew the bigger sites to see. This book focused on hikes and those sites you can only see by hiking.

I found this book to be extremely helpful in narrowing done what to do with your kids in Yellowstone when you have a limited amount of time. It helped us prioritize which stops to make along the Yellowstone River- canyon and falls sites. It also helps evaluated the length of and intensity of various hikes throughout Yellowstone and Grand Teton National parks. Fairly easy to use and a great guide.
