I really enjoyed reading this book, which unfortunately I only read it in its digital form. I didn't think, at first, that I would find a treasure. But I probably found something really valuable. The author made painstaking efforts to enlighten us, to explain the subject of his investigations. Certainly, many pseudo-scientific and pseudo-historical knowledge are included in this work. However, the author possesses the gift of explaining his concepts in a successful way. His enthusiasm is addictive. I would say that it is also worth reading for academic purposes, that is, for research, but with some reservations, due precisely to the ease of the author to accept controversial and questionable opinions, even though he justifies his choices and views with rational argumentation or common sense. I therefore only give in this book two stars, but I could have given it three stars in some other case, under other circumstances.

Very intriguing and insightful presentation of anomalous events and evidence that could point to the existence of Atlantis as a mid-Atlantic island present up to the tenth century BC. The only criticism is that the chapters seem uneven - Sweeney repeats some information multiple times in different chapters while information that he considers pivotal is only presented summarily. Still, this makes the book very readable and opens up avenues of new research.
