Hard to believe a riot could erupt over two thespians performing during the same week in NYC and that it would end in the deaths of so many innocent people, but here is an account of how the feud between Edwin Forrest and William Charles Macready began and ended.

Overall, a pretty fascinating account though the author occasionally spends too much time citing public records, statements and newspapers.
