NO REST FOR THIS HIKINEET! Still hungry for Konosuba craziness after feasting on the misadventures of Kazuma, Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin? Well, you’re in luck! This novelization of the popular mobile game, Fantastic Days, includes a brand-new quest, featuring three new adventurers―and you can only read it here! Find out what happens when Kazuma and the gang, joined by a troupe of aspiring dancers, run into a former almost general of the Demon King… For the avid Konosuba content collector, this isn’t one to miss!
I had no idea that the original Konosuba author did not write this as the Amazon listing was misleading. I would not have bought a physical copy if I had known, so that’s upsetting. Hirukuma does a fair emulation of Natsume Akatsuki, but this felt like a filler episode or tie-in movie with no impact on the main series canon. The story drags more than I typically expect from Konosuba and the humor is all retreads of old material. It is a forgettable but inoffensive throwaway story.
I had fun with the story, but you can tell the difference between Hirukuma and the original author, Natsume Akatsuki, in terms of writing the characters. The difference was too jarring for me since I love these characters .
