I really appreciated John Lomacang's candid story; I had a hard time setting the book down! Understanding his perspective after not being raised by his biological family has helped me to better understand my adopted sister's curiosity to know about her biological family.
Even though I haven't had to experience being abandoned by a parent, I found areas in his life that I could relate to, such as being able to forgive those who have wronged us. Furthermore, his strong trust in God after he became a Christian inspires me to be faithful in my Christian walk no matter what the circumstances.
