Nothing Fair About It

Rate this book
Drew was raised in a funeral home by unloving grandparents and a mother too young to raise herself. When Drew takes a shortcut home one day, she meets and befriends Erma, a homeless woman, who teaches Drew more about love and life than anyone she'd ever met. As Drew grows up, Erma's lessons help her get through a life filled with lies, love, and the occasional dead body. For a young girl who grew up living with death, learning how to live with life proves to be harder than she imagined. Drew realizes, almost too late, that in life, there is Nothing Fair About It.

I loved this book so much I just had to go back and read it a second AND third time! The story of Drew touched my heart in a way that I will never be able to describe. It made me laugh, cry and get mad. I was a little disappointed in the ending though. But that's just me. Anyway, this story helped me understand the world, and myself, a little bit better. I want to encourage you to read this.

Excellent!

This is one of the best books I have read in a while. The characters were real and vibrant, even those I did not like. The lessons will stay with me a long time. The only downside was that there were many typos. But the story itself is well told.
