Alexandra Scott was born in a small Scottish village. She married an English soldier, and their travels, which took them to the Far East and various parts of Europe, proved to be good preparation for her later career as a writer. She had always wanted to write a book but was reluctant to actually try until she and her husband eventually settled in Yorkshire and he signed her up for a writer’s course.

The H is a TV personality who despite being known as a playboy is infact quite conservative and traditional minded about marriage and a woman's role. The h, I felt, is the passive and patient wife the Hero needs and personally I liked both the Mcs. However, the romance was too bland for my taste and a lot of episodes centered on "in law" meetings and parties. Om/ow drama was also quite insignificant. I just wished h/H relationship got more physical instead they were always busy concealing their feelings from one another.

Some weird editing error in the first few pages results in an abrupt time jump so I did not continue.

An ok story. Tends to skip around at times leaving you feeling like you missed part of the story, but still an ok read.

For an oldie, it was a good read. I've read better but this one kept me entertain. It's a common subject though, the secretary in love with her boss. The ending was best!
