This is a very clear and concise guide to Snowdon and the numerous routes that can be taken up the mountain. Roberts divides the book into three parts, the first detailing the six main and most popular routes, the second detailing the less used and more difficult routes and the third detailing the more scenic routes on Snowdon and the surrounding peaks. Roberts writes in a clear easy to read and easy to follow manner and provides information on what to take, what to expect and how to follow each route as well as giving a small amount of background to each. In his introduction and closing chapter he also gives a summary of the mountain's history and how it became the attraction to walkers and climbers it is now. And best of all, all of this information is given in a small light weight guide that is easy to carry when following the routes it describes.
