Many of us would like to write but find it difficult to begin. This book provides practical suggestions to help all writers give shape and substance to their ideas. There are tips on subjects to write about, ways of approaching them and how to develop writer's skills and critical powers.
A fantastic book. Not one of those "do this, do that, write for your audience, think about the money" instruction manuals that focuses too much on publicising your book, but rather one that gives you a lot to think about with relevent examples taken from classic and contemporary literature. It's given me a lot to think about with my own writing, and will be a volume I return to many times.
