Rate this book
Mosiac-making in one of the most enduring and popular art forms, and for good reason. This book gives you all the information you need to produce exquisite mosaics of your own, from the traditional to the contemporary. Projects to create include a richly patterned firescreen, an Abstract Table Top and an Aztec-style Trinket Box, and there is practical advice on the materials and tools required.

I read another mosaic book by the same author and most of the projects and many sections of text are exactly the same. There is a teeny bit of mosaic history, a slim "Gallery" section featuring some poorly-lit and questionable selections, and abbreviated materials and techniques section before the projects commence. And, boy, some of these projects... Nothing I'd spend time on, I'm sure some people like them, but to me they look rather amateur. I read craft books to challenge me, and this one does not. Decent book to flip through for ideas, though.
