Made two simple projects from this book: hat and scarf. Both turned out decently if not exactly expertly. Instructions are clear. Quite a few more projects could be tackled, but will have to assume that the instructions remain helpful. Not a 'pretty' book like some, but practical.

I didn't find much useful information in this book other than some references in the back. It might prove useful to a beginner, but don't buy it. Instead borrow it from your local library and save your money for other more useful tomes.

A nice intro to knitting. I have discovered though that I learn better visually for knitting/crocheting so if I didn't quite get something this book was telling me Youtube was a great additional resource.
