About half this book is photos along with a few maps and timetables. The photos are interesting, and this book is probably the only place to find some of those photos and other information. The only reason I am giving this book 3 stars is it has photos and information that you can probably not find anywhere else. However, the book is essentially one chapter. It is essentially chronological order of how the railroad formed and then ended, but it is hard to follow. It is dry as a bone. Another problem with this book is that unless you have lived in the area for at least 50 years, you will not be able to place many of the locations it discusses. The area has changed so much that even the book was written in "modern" times, the area has changed and many street names have changed. Thus, when it says where something is now, that something is probably not there now.
