Read this book in college, about 1963. Am starting to reread it due you CC and my interest in early man signs, symbols, petroglyphs etc. And the development of language. Each chapter by a well known expert in the field. Very detailed and slow for me to read. Lots of information, background, and definitions. Last part of chapter six is applicable to our current interest in symbols and language development.
