Romance author R. Casteel retired from the US Navy in 1990. He enjoys the outdoors, loves to scuba dive, and is a Search and Rescue Diver. With twenty years of military service, which included experience as flight crewman, search and rescue, and four years as a Military Police Officer, it is of little wonder that his books are filled with suspense and intrigue.

Scott meets Aleecia when he goes to Table Rock to clean the lake. Aleecia has a secret that causes others to search for her. It is not until she is injured helping Scott that she is found. Can Scott protect her? I like Aleecia. She's not the usual heroine. She wants to be normal but when people discover her secret they look at her differently. Not many have learned her secret. Scott has and angers her when he calls her by a nickname. They must work together when she is injured and found by the government. But there is a HEA after he almost loses her.
