Wanting to start reading yet another book, I decided I should kick some of my "currently reading" books off the list first. This one had been on there for quite some time, with no good reason. I knew this was going to be a great one, but as of yet I hadn't taken any of the walks. This being 11/11/11, I decided to try walk #11.

It was lovely. A perfect crisp fall day with waning light, a light breeze, a few stray raindrops, and I with camera in one hand and guide book in the other. This was a short walk, but every step was enjoyable; Portland's fall colors are nothing to sneeze at.

Though I would find it difficult to get lost on this particular little hike, it was still reassuring to find well-described landmarks every step of the way. I can't wait to take a few more adventures with this book.

Justin gave me this book for my birthday this year and we love it! I highly recommend it to anyone living in the Portland area, but I'm sure they have these for many cities. It has each walk mapped out for you with landmarks and information to read about on the way. We have done a few of these walks and really enjoyed learning about the area. Such a great cheap date!
