Moments of peril and tension are undercut by dated jokes and googly eyes and couldn’t be partially mitigated by the spectacular practical costumes seen in the movie.
I retain profound affection for The Secret of the Ooze, but it is an undeniably weak letdown of a follow-up and I would relish a crack at rewriting it, even all these years later.
