This is a great primer on how [tijani] sufis respond to pseudo-"sunni" criticisms of traditional enlightened tasawwuf. Shaykh ibrahim was no doubt a luminary and a brilliant scholar of sunni islam and it shows in this masterpiece.

A basic treatise and theological defense of sufism and its practices; fine, but not much different from a lot of similar material available from other tariqats. I would have enjoyed learning more about the history and activities of the Tijaniyya in West Africa.

Primarily written to defend the Tariqa Tijaniyya and the founder. The book was carefully written with lots of proofs from notable scholars and their books most especially Sh. Ahmad Zarruq whose writings validates most of the activities of Tariqa Tijaniyya
