Good overall basic maunal of propagation. Half the book is a listing of the plants and the methods of propagation. Does have a chapter on Grafting and budding that my other book on propagation does not have. This will get you started but has about 20% filler.
This book is extremely useful for both beginnings and more advanced gardeners wanting to learn about propagation. The techniques are well stated and seem to be fairly easy. In the back are a list of plants by their scientific names so that you can find the best propagation technique for that plant. Overall, the book is well organized and informative.
The Complete Book of Plant Propagation by Graham Clarke and Alan Toogood (Ward Lock Limited 1992)(635.04) is an extremely British take on the subject of plant propagation; it is typically very thorough. My rating: 5/10, finished 2/15/12.
