A fixture in Native American lore, pioneer writings, environmental consciousness, and the daily lives of ranchers, the coyote is a multifaceted symbol and a cunning cohabitant. In this book, award-winning writers of the region and wildlife enthusiasts muse on the mystical and mundane presence of this elusive and fascinating creature. Over 100 photos.
The pictures were great, the essays mostly a little light, but not bad.
It is funny that in the '90s you could still, say, put out a book in Arizona where all the essayists refer to Native American Coyote stories and none of them be Native (that I noticed), and not even have to acknowledge there's a problem.
