This book was one of the instruments of learning about the designs and functioning of handguns, that I used in writing fiction. Its preamble provides sufficient historical and theoretical knowledge of handguns in general, and its core contains enormous, comprehensive volume of knowledge about thousands of revolvers and pistols. That pretty much covers any kind of fiction in which characters may use sidearms. I recommend it to any author of such fiction.
