This beautiful hardbound book gathers 220 pictures of Mario Vargas Llosa related to the scenes of El Paraíso en la otra esquina: the islands that Gauguin visited. It includes photos of Vargas Llosa in Arles, Peru, Paris, London, and Tahiti, resulting from the trips he took with his daughter, Morgana. The color pictures are accompanied by supporting text by Colombian journalist Mauricio Bonet who narrates with anecdotes Vargas Llosa’s trips.
