Lesser-known stories from famous children's authors such as Rudyard Kipling, Kenneth Grahame, E. Nesbitt, and L. Frank Baum. Horses, monkeys, and cats come alive from all over the world with Jan Machalek's colored pencil drawings.
Uneven collection. Some of the stories were really boring (especially the Hans Christian Anderson one about the telegraph line!), so were great. We were very disappointed that one of the ones we were enjoying, "The Reluctant Dragon," was missing the ending. The page numbers were fine, but the story was truncated. Definitely hit and miss.
