I read this book for fun and not for a class. I utilized the website linked with it to obtain further information. I found this text book to be put together in a way that made it user friendly. The chapters built on one another and over all provided good information. The information is fairly up to date as it was published in 2013 however since the pandemic, I feel, that crime rates in certain categories have changed and would be interested in reading a more recently published book specific to the pandemic and crime changes. I recommend this text book for fun or for a class as it provides you enough basic knowledge so you can research areas that you find most interesting.
