Tiger Tales continues to impress readers with its interactive board book offerings for toddlers. In this particular one, ten black-and-white photographs depicting five different youngsters in two different poses support a game of peekaboo. Since most little ones will be familiar with that timeless game, they'll easily recognize what they need to do in order to reveal the images hiding behind the sturdy felt. Since the felt covering has snowflake-like cutouts that allow youngsters to peek at what's behind each piece before lifting them, they will surely guess where the eyes, ears, nose, toes, and mouth are. Once they've looked behind the felt, the book's text offer congratulations and then urges readers or listeners to find their own body parts or to mimic the poses in the photographs. Since children often learn by watching what others do, this book offers good examples for them to follow. It's even likely that they and the adults in their lives can extend it even further.
