Here is a happy selection of classic Mother Goose rhymes, illustrated with Gallic charm and beauty by a highly gifted American artist. Barbara Cooney spent several months living in a mall French town to prepare herself for the work. The pictures, with their many details of French daily life, bring a new dimension to these familiar verses that have been known and loved for over two hundred years by the children of England and America.
A simple little book that I rescued from the high school when they purged. It has beautiful pastel illustrations and the most common Mother Goose rhymes in French. A good resource for training bilingual children, I should think.
this is my sixth mother goose book i've read in one sitting. how do parents do this? i'm going insane.
anyway, the pictures in this that are in full-color are absolutely delightful and beyond charming. i'm sure this could be an incredibly useful tool for children learning french.
