Rate this book
The Horn of Africa, comprising Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya and djibouti, provides an excellent model of the relations between superpowers and local states. This book argues that hostility between Somalia and Ethiopia, largely due to Somalia Irredentish, allowed the superpowers to establish a presence and, in the cold war period, to vie for supremacy in the Horn.
