Ariel's Desire #1

Ariel's Desire: A Novel of Vampirism and Submission

Rate this book
It was just a weekend camping trip ... until she met a very masterful vampire! Ariel, enjoying a long weekend camping in the woods with her friends before college resumes, thinks she is perfectly content. Then Lucien and his vampire clan come down from the mountains, abducting young men and women for their settlement. When hLucien sees Ariel sunning by a lake, he knows he must make her his thrall - in every way. On the journey up the mountain, Ariel is subjected to the vampire's constant seductions, beginning with an arousing strip of leather attached to the saddlehorn of the horse he keeps her bound to, to nights of unbridled passion. She finds herself branded and pierced, and the object of the dark vampire's lust. More horrifying is the fact that Lucien seems to have awakened desires for domination and submission Ariel never knew she had. She desires more ... and even Lucien worries she will not survive the claiming of the vampire's curse.

I've been writing since I could hold a crayon. My first novel was published several years ago, and I've been a full-time author ever since.
Last year, I joined with a friend to establish Mystic Mustangs Publishing, a non-erotic publishing company. I continue to publish my erotic works through Strict Publishing International and Renaissance Books - Sizzler Imprints.

Maybe 3.5 or higher. I might have to revisit this rating.

A group of 10 college seniors go camping in the mountains, and...

WARNING: On the one hand there are a lot of very dark happenings in this BDSM/erotica story, but the human sides of these vamps aren't uncaring; they use a lot of rather rote training techniques common to indoctrination and kidnappers.

It's a different take on vampires and the living situation they have built. As an Indie writer, Ms. Smith adds a lot of mundane things that probably would be pared down by a main-stream publisher (except they don't do books like this), but it helps to immerse the reader into the story (IMHO). I read a lot of this author's works, and recommend them to some of my GoodReads friends (you know who you are, lol). But, if you don't travel to the dark side in your reading, or into BDSM heavier than that 50 Shades type of thing, this stuff isn't for you. It's very much like several of Kaitlyn O'Connor's works (that hurt me to read), so if you read that stuff, this shouldn't shock you.

One big UGH!!!!! This book is beyond awful, beyond sick! I stopped @ page 120, even I can't believe I read it that far.. No need to finish this one.. If you're into degrading, pointless Gay/or straight sex, extreme bondage, and captivity then this book is for you. Other wise NO, I will not be recommending this one!
