First thorough treatment of multidimensional item response theory Description of methods is supported by numerous practical examples Describes procedures for multidimensional computerized adaptive testing
Exactly what I needed to go from unidimensional IRT to Multidimensional IRT. A professional review of the book said it was heavy on the math; I found it quite readable and my previous experience with IRT was via de Ayala's 'The Theory and Practice of Item Response Theory'. I read the book as preparation for writing a proposal comparing a MIRT model with another statistical model so the sections on linking, scaling, and CAT were skipped at this time.
