Dark Days

Rate this book
This book was probably the hardest thing I have ever written, and I know it’s not the best written book, but I wrote it anyway.
It’s about emotions and feelings, suicidal thoughts and alcoholism.
It’s about family and friends, some of which have discarded you, because they don’t know what to say. They are too frightened to speak to you, so they avoid you.
It’s about trying to find inner peace, even if it’s in dreams or imagination.
It’s knowing that your life will never be the same. It’s knowing that you must be very aware of how you react around people, so they don’t get worried. It’s about putting on a show.
It’s about screaming inside but smiling outside.
It’s the truth of my feelings which I felt I had to write down. Counselling didn’t help. Writing my feelings down did.
If this book has upset anyone, I apologise, but it is my book and one that I felt I needed to write.
My husband and son were the bravest, kindest, hardworking men. They loved their family with all their heart.
I see them in my dreams and feel them in my heart.
I just hope that I can live up to their standards.
