About the author!
I was diagnosed with clinical depression after the loss of my mother, father and husband within three years of each other; all to cancer. 24/7 in-home care, coupled with the loss I felt, left its mark on my psyche.
Depression takes up a lot of my life. Reading and writing are the only things I have found that help (in connection with regular medication), even if only for a short time. To escape to a different world can make a big difference in my mood in real time.
To put things in perspective, when I was at my lowest point, I couldn't open mail, talk on the phone, or even drive to the store. Walls of sadness surrounded me. As they closed in, tears would fall. There didn't need to be a reason or trigger.
People ask me why I started writing. My answer is simple: I wanted to create a world into which other people with similar problems could escape. I wanted to share the one place that had helped me for many years.
I have always said that as long as one person finds a little bit of happiness out of my books, I am, in my opinion, an accomplished author. The same is true for every writer out there. Please don't ever let anyone tell you different.
I read books as well as write them and have visited the worlds many different authors have created. Those worlds not only make me feel better, but give me the strength to face real life again. I want to thank everyone who writes - I want them to know they are making a difference.

Dr Frank was the best in his field of plastic surgery. With his past in mind, he takes on a challenge of running the burn trauma unit in a hospital he takes it on. He meets Barbara after a night out with colleagues and is taken with her. Barbara is looking to have a normal and pain free life. She asks Dr Frank for help and he brushes her immediately off.
He regrets his course behavior and sets out to make it up to her.

Doctor Frank Einstein is a plastic surgeon who spends his days doing cosmetic surgery for superficial women who he feels do not need the surgery. Unlike many other cosmetic surgeons Doctor Einstein is not in his line of work for butts and boobs. He does it to make a difference in the lives of those who really need it. Those that have been scarred or disfigured. When a job opportunity opens up in the burn Unit of Eastport General Frank jumps at the chance.
As a child Doctor Einstein lived through a fire so he knows the damage such a traumatic event can do to a person both mentally and physically. That day changed his life and he vowed that when he grew up, he would do something that made a difference in the lives of others. Working in the burn unit at Eastport General gives Frank the opportunity to do just that. When some of Frank’s new co-workers invite him out to a local bar for drinks to get to know one another he reluctantly goes.
At the bar, he meets busty barmaid Barbara who he is immediately attracted to, but she makes a less than favorable impression on him. When she finds out Frank is a plastic surgeon, she tries to ask him a question about his line of work, and he immediately jumps to the wrong conclusion. Frank immediately shuts down Barbara’s line of questioning and abruptly leaves the bar. Barbara is flabbergasted that this doctor has been so rude to her and is unsure why he acted that way over such a simple question. Frank immediately feels guilty and wants to apologize for being so rude, but will Barbara ever be able to forgive him?
When Frank and Barbara first meet the chemistry is instant, but they make a bad first impression on one another. Frank realizes that he goofed when he acted so abruptly and knows he needs to apologize. Thankfully, Barbara is understanding and is willing to forgive him and get to know him. As Frank and Barbara get to know each other better each realizes the other has more to them than meets the eye. Frank did not go into cosmetic surgery to be with superficial women who only care about their looks. He did it because of his past history as the victim of a fire and wants to help those who have suffered similar situations. Frank wants to make a difference and help disfigured patients gain confidence and self esteem. Barbara has been well endowed naturally and lives in constant pain from the strain on her back. All she wants is a life free of pain and one where men think of her as more than a pair of breasts. When Barbara meets Doctor Frank, she finally has hope. A great read about love, first impressions, chemistry, romance, understanding, and compassion.

Dr Frank Enstein has become the best in his field of Plastic Surgery so when an opportunity comes along to lead his very own trauma clinic for burns he is ready for the challenge. Although leaving the cosy world of private practice for the riggers of a hospital he is determined to make this work as this is a cause close to his heart.
Once meeting his new colleagues he is invited to go out after work, not really a very social person but is spirited along, until he meets the buxom beauty behind the bar but when she approaches him with a question he immediately ends up with the wrong conclusion embarrassing him and her.
Barbara has had the literal weight on her back, although some people see them as beauties, she sees them as uncomfortable, back breaking and down right horrendous. So when she met Frank and hope he was the answer to her prays as soon as he opened his mouth it all feel away, but when the good lucking Doctor comes back and apologies to her and gives her a name of a friend to help her with her breast reduction they start becoming more than friends.
I loved this story, this is the second book I have read in this series and this does not disappoint. At first I thought that Frank was a bit of an arse but as you get to see the interaction with Barbara through the story you get to know his story and start to warm to the character. As a buxom woman as well I instantly bonded with the character of Barbara and the issues she faced on a daily basis but her sassy, strong character was a dream to read.
The story although short was well written and follow beautifully toward the happily ever after that happened. I would recommend this book and can't wait to read more in the series.

C.A. King has done it again! She never fails in writing a book that gets me hooked right away! In this book we are introduced to Dr. Frank Enstein and to Barbara. Unfortunately Dr Enstein has always had some tunnel vision when it comes to his life and what his goals are. Most of this comes from a traumatic event that happened to him when he was a child. Dr. Enstien is a plastic surgeon but his goal in life isn’t to took on boobs and butts, his goal is to help trauma patients, especially burn victims and when the opportunity finally arrives he jumps on it! Well little does he know that one night while out with his co-workers he runs into Barbara the bartender, and she is about to turn his world upside down! Unlucky for Dr. Enstein, his first meeting with Barbara did not go his way one bit. He comes off as rude and when the next encounter with her happens he starts to feel bad about how it went when they first met. Barbara has some issues that are putting a crimp into her everyday life, and she hopes that Frank can be the one to help her. But as time goes on Frank realizes while he cannot help Barbara with her issues, but maybe his old partner can. What he does realize is that he has fallen for Barbara and she is the woman that he has been wanting and waiting for.
I won’t say much more about the story line because I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, but I will say that is was a great read that wasn’t very long. Even though it is what is considered a short read, C.A. doesn’t leave you hanging and gets right to the point. This book reminds you that you shouldn’t judge based on appearances.

King is Ms. King’s second contribution to this medical romance series: the Doctors of Eastport General collection is a collaboration by several different authors, each releasing their own story set in Eastport General Hospital. This is another by Ms. King, a spicy, short, and sexy read that will keep you in its grasp right through to the end.
Let’s face it, I already love Ms. King’s stories, so it was a given that I would be reading this book as soon as it hit my Kindle. And who doesn’t love a sexy Doctor? I know I sure do…
This novella is a contemporary romance- and although it might be smaller in page numbers, it has the feel and delivery of a much larger novel.
We meet plastic surgeon, Doctor Frank Enstein, who has a passion to help disfigured patients by repairing their damaged flesh and helping them regain some of their lost confidence. He wants to use his position to truly make a difference in the world. When he meets Barbara, their chemistry certainly sizzles, but he might get the wrong impression at first…Barbara, on the other hand, just wants to be feel ‘normal’ and pain free and is desperate for help- she meets Doctor Frank and finally has hope. But has she placed her hope in the wrong hands? Can and will he help her? What starts off as pretty casual, turns out to be so much more than either of them ever expected. What happens makes for a sweet and engaging read.

I have to admit that it took a little bit for me to get settled into the story. But when I did, I didn’t put the book down until it was finished. This book is well written and turned out to be a joy to read.
Frank was devastated by the loss of his mother. She had suffered severe burns in a house fire, and due to inadequate care, she took her own life. Frank blamed himself, believing that if he had not been at school, the tragedy might have been averted. This profound loss spurred his determination to prevent others from enduring similar suffering. Consequently, he dedicated himself to becoming a plastic surgeon and burn specialist. Frank pretty much did not see himself as a family man that was until he met Barbra. On his first meeting with her he was quite rude to her, and she thought him to most arrogant. Feeling bad he took her out for dinner as a way of apology. After dinner they went back to Franks place where he thought their encounter would be a one-night stand. However ever after this one night he could not stop thinking about her. He had also referred her to his friend as she desperately needed a breast reduction and Tim owed one. After Barbara had her surgery, he tried to contact her but there was no response from her. Unexpectedly she turned up to the burn’s unit opening. Frank was pleasantly surprised with her appearing there and he was not about to let her out of his sight again. Please read this book to see the journey of Frank and Barbara.

This is one of my favorite authors and I never hesitate to read any of her books. This is part of the
Doctors of Eastport General series by many different author, and I really enjoyed this story of Frank and Barbara.
Frank is a well known cosmetic surgeon who takes an opportunity to be part of the new Burn Unit at Eastport General to make an impact and keep a promise he made many year ago to his mother. At first, Frank is a little distant and keeps to himself as he fights to move on with his past. When a chance encounter on an evening out and he meets Barbara, they did not see eye to eye at first.
Barbara is trying to make money while working at a bar/pub. Meeting Frank and finding out what his job specialty was, all she wanted to do is talk to him about issues she has medically. At first, Frank blows her off but as he has more of an opportunity to talk to her, his feeling change Not only does he want to help Barbara, but would like to get to know her more personally.

An enjoyable and entertaining contemporary romance, which can be read as a standalone story or as part of the Doctors of Eastport General series. Set in Eastport General Hospital, and Dr. Frank Enstein starts an assignment on the new burns unit. Having spent years as a sought-after cosmetic surgeon, he’s pleased to now be working somewhere he can really make a difference. Frank was fed up of seeing superficial women demanding changes to their perfectly fine bodies. When he meets Barbara, a busty barmaid who starts up a conversation with him, asking about breast reductions, Frank fears that he will be dragged back into the practice he’s just left behind. However, their chemistry is instant and what starts off as a casual affair could turn into something longer term for them both. As long as Franks tragic past does not stop him from enjoying a future with Barbara. This is a fairly short read, which has a heartwarming romantic storyline, wonderful characters and an intriguing setting, all of which kept me happily turning the pages. I loved the characters, and the chemistry between Frank and Barbara sizzles off the page, leading to some steamy scenes. I look forward to returning to Eastport General Hospital soon!

Doctor Frank Enstein (Doctors of Eastport General) is a wonderfully written Contemporary Romance that once you start reading there’s no putting it down until you’ve finished. I pretty much devoured this book in one sitting. I’m a huge of this author and have read several books by her but this one definitely tops my favorite yet list. This is Frank and Barbara’s story. Dr. Frank Enstein is a Plastic Surgeon who wants to helpmake a difference in his patients lives. He has the passion but he lacks the proper bedside manner and doesn’t always make a good first impression. Barba just wants to feel normal and hopes Frank can her with that. She’s not impressed with him at firsy but man the chemistry between them sizzles. These two are such well developed characters that make the story come to life. Can Frank help her to feel normal? I highly recommend reading this fast paced story to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This book is a super cute quick read. It has everything that you are looking for in a romance book. It has the misjudgments at the first meeting to the growing of feelings throughout the book. Barbara went to Frank to help her with something that has Frank, who is dealing with some of his own issues, look at things a little differently. This leads to them having a horrible first meeting and yet something blossoms out of that meeting and they can't seem to stay away from each other.
Reading this book you will get caught up in the building of he characters and their backstories. You will figure out what is bothering Frank and why Barbara needs a plastic surgeon. These two things are key to how they develop their love story. If you have a couple hours that you can sit down and get lost in the small town feel of this book, you wont be disappointed. Also, it never hurts to read about a hot doctor.

I read Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein for a class a few years ago and now whenever I see a story inspired by or paying homage to it, I instantly want to read it.
Doctor Frank Enstein is a well known Plastic Surgeon but changes routes when an opportunity arises for him to have burn patients in his very own clinic, he accepts the challenge.
Not really a social person, he attends a gathering with some of his coworkers where he meets Barbara. She hopes that he will be able to help her with an issue she is having but changes her mind after he starts talking. He doesn’t make a good impression but later apologizes to her.
I’ve started watching a few Doctors and Plastic Surgeons on YouTube so to see a male main character in this profession was a breath of fresh air.
This story is a part of collection so it is very short but the author tells a beautiful and well written story.

Dr. Frank Enstein is a part of the Doctors of Eastport General series. This contemporary romance packs a lot of spice and heat in these short 93 pages. Dr. Einstein was a cosmetic surgeon who took on a new job in the burn unit. Following a tragic past, taking a job that will make a difference is his ultimate goal. When he meets a busty barmaid looking for a permanent fix, she gets more than she bargained for.
This installment grabs you right from the beginning. You won't want to put this one down. I was amazed by the amount of WOW! in these few short chapters. The only regret about this book is that it ended so quickly. There was so much packed into these few short pages that I just didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to get my hands on more of this series. I highly recommend this to anyone who thoroughly enjoys medical dramas.

This was a really enjoyable short romance read. It was a fast paced story that keeps you turning the pages. The characters were both very likeable and worked well together.

Dr Enstein has tunnel vision. He has always had an agenda for his life. Well at least since the traumatic event when he was a child. When he was presented to run his own trauma center at the local hospital he jumps on it. While out with his co-workers he encounters Barbara the bartender. Dr. Enstein first meeting with Barbara did not go well. He was rude and at the 2nd encounter with her he starts to feel bad. As time goes on he realizes while he cannot personally help Barbara his old partner could. As time goes on, he realizes he has fallen for Barbara and she is what he wants.
As I read this story, my heart broke for not only the kid but the man he had become. I could only imagine how traumatized any one would be. The author pulls on your heart with trauma, love, and determination. Teaches you not to judge someone by their appearance.

Doctor Frank Enstein is a well known plastic surgeon but it's not the real kind of medicine he aspires to do. His real goal for getting into medicine was to help burn patients that suffered traumatic injuries. He jumps at the opportunity to head up the new Burn Unit at Eastport General where he feels he can make a difference. Frank meets a barmaid named Barbara Labomba when he is invited out for drinks with a colleague. She tries to strike up conversation having to do with his old work but he wants nothing to do with it. When he finds out her reason for seeking his advice he seeks her out to not only apologize for his rude behavior but to help her any way he can. One thing Frank was not looking for was a romance but Barbara is not someone he can easily forget. Even though things start off rocky for these two there may be a happily ever after on the horizon.

This is an author that I really enjoy reading and this book is one of my favorites yet. Her books are creative and engaging. This book is no different. This is a well written, fast paced story that is hard to put down. The characters are steamy and made the story easy to read. They are connectable and pull you into their world. They have great growth and chemistry as well. A story where going backwards is not always a bad thing. What happens with Doctor Frank you don’t want to miss for sure. What will he do when he is faced with a choice of going back to something he said he never would? This is a romance story you don’t want to miss for sure. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Doctor Frank Enstein (Doctors of Eastport General) by C.A. King. This is the steamy story of Dr. Frank Enstein who has become the #1 Plastic Surgeon around. When he gets the chance to head up his own Burn Clinic he can't pass it up. Even though he is leaving the security off private practice and going to the hospital he is excited. One night when he and his colleagues go out for some after work drinks he meets a beautiful bartender. Barbara has always wanted breast reduction surgery so when she meets Frank she thinks he is God sent. Frank ends up embarrassing her and thinks he's lost out forever. He ends up apologizing and sends her to a friend. Frank and Barbara end up becoming more than friend and its a sizzling romance for sure.

This was a quick read for me. I wished it was a little longer as I like to get to really know the characters and I didn't feel I got to know enough (for me anyways)

I believe this is book 2 of The Doctors of Eastport General series, but they all seem to be able to be read as stand alone novels and do have different authors. I’ve enjoyed some of the others and haven’t had any issues. My ‘stories’ as some older ladies I know like to watch, I like to read instead. C.A. King writes really well and her books never fail to pull me in and keep me hooked. Doctor Frank Einstein was a quick read, but it had a good, heartwarming storyline, and I liked how his background really influenced his choices in his professional life, but he didn’t let the devastation hold him back. Then he meets Barbara and although they have great chemistry he begins to wonder if she will draw him back into his old life.

Doctor Frank Enstein by C.A. King is a short, quirky and heartwarming medical romance that brings humor and charm. The book, which is part of the Doctors of Eastport General series, introduces readers to Dr. Frank Enstein and Barbara. This is a super quick read like the rest, only about 100 pages. Yet , this was not lacking whatsoever. King does an excellent job of creating a well-rounded setting in Eastport General. The lighthearted tone and easy-to-follow storyline make this an enjoyable and engaging read, especially for those who enjoy feel-good romances. And His interactions with colleagues and patients are both entertaining and endearing, making him an easy character to root for. I look forward to reading more of this series.

This is the second book I have picked up from the Doctors of Eastport General series, and it was just as magnificent as the first! I am again blown away by how the author can fit a solid plot and all necessary details into such a small number of pages. I have loved every single book from them and love how they dive into different genres. Doctor Frank Enstein is a plastic surgeon who helps patients in the burn unit which is a refreshing take on the typical vanity seen with that line of work. The romance is nice and sizzling, but I enjoyed the emotional depth of his character. The story flows flawlessly and character development is wonderful. This is such a fun and heartfelt addition to the series, don’t pass it up!

Dr. Frank Enstein is a plastic surgeon (total McSteamy vibes) who wants more in his chosen specialty outside the normal body mortifications. Barbara needs a plastics guy so she goes to the McSteamy of Doctors of Eastport General, however, that first meeting was less than ideal. The good news is they get past it, and the sparks are flying so they seriously can't stay away from each other. This story was short & sweet, but despite the length, I didn't feel like I lost anything as it was great character & word building. I never wanted this book to end as C.A. King is delightfully addictive, and it was easily devoured in one sitting! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It seems not matter what this author turns her hand to it is a complete success. This book is the second one she has written as part of these collaborations and it is just as good as her other one. Part of what I like about this book so much is that it is so different from other books that this author has written. I connected with the story so easily and, as usual, I couldn’t stop reading until I had finished the book. The story was well thought out with some brilliant characters. There was so much more to this story than you would think initially and it was created with such ease from the author. This is a fantastic book that I would highly recommend to anyone.
