About the author

John Eckhardt is overseer of Crusaders Ministries, located in Chicago, Illinois. Gifted with a strong apostolic call, he has ministered throughout the United States and overseas in more than eighty nations. He is a sought-after international conference speaker and has authored more than twenty books, including Identifying and Breaking Curses, Prayers That Rout Demons, Prayers That Break Curses, Prophet, Arise!, and God Still Speaks. He also produces a weekly television program, Perfecting the Saints. Eckhardt resides in the Chicago area with his wife, Wanda.

Just wasn't for me. The subtitle is "How to Bring the Kingdom of Heaven to Earth" and I didn't find that it actually did that. It spent a lot of time talking about the importance of the apostolic office, but it was more than halfway through the book before it started to talk about the practical side -what functioning as an apostle actually looks like. In my studies so far I think the apostolic office is the least clear of the 5-fold so it would have been great if there was some sort of definition early on in this book. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what viewpoint it was coming from as to the job of an apostle, and then trying to guess what I was supposed to be learning and how to apply it to my life. I read "The Apostolic Handbook" by Colette Toach last year, loved it, and was looking for more of the same. This definitely wasn't that.

Each page is a wealth of comedic gold. I pissed myself twice. My throat is sore from laughter. This is the funniest thing I have ever read. I havent laughed this hard in years. I especially loved when he started talking about "end times foreign policy". Get this: a man endorced this book who goes by the name of "Dutch Sheets". I prefer French sheets, they don't chaffe my ass.
