It’s Christmastime in Canton, and Tracy Doyle and her sister, Amy, are working hard to prepare for their first Christmas without their beloved grandmother. But instead of grieving, they decide to celebrate Grandma Pearl’s life alongside the holiday. Tracy suggests giving each member of the family one of Grandma Pearl’s salt-and-pepper shaker sets for Christmas. She and Amy search the attic for the shakers, but they are nowhere to be found! Why would someone steal them? As Tracy and Amy work together to narrow down the suspects, they discover an elusive love interest of Grandma Pearl’s from 1942 with a connection to one of the missing shakers. Could his identity be the key to finding the missing collection?

Meanwhile, Tracy feels compelled to try to mend fences with Leigh, a distant cousin, who is determined to keep the family out of her life. Is is possible she is the culprit instead?

I wish I had a Grandma's Attic. These ladies are kept busy with all the treasures they find in Grandma's Attic. This time the mystery is the salt and pepper shakers. May sound silly that anyone would collect them, but my sister did for many years, when she was first married. Started out as souvenirs, but then everyone was buying them for her for different events. These ladies seem to think they were worth a lot of moneyand all they find is the box labeled but empty. They find them at the end of the book, and it is heartwarming to know what Grandma had done with them. There is also the mystery of why Leigh, the cousin won't speak to them and Grandma's secret love from years ago.

Another enjoyable easy read from Guidepost.

This story made me cry! The last few pages were woven beautifully to bring family back together and restoring years of bitterness between loved ones and at the perfect time of year-Christmas! The mystery and how it ties in to Pearl’s family was one that touched my heart and gave me all the feels. Plus it’s got Janice’s trademark humor that always makes her books even better. Absolutely adored this story! This may just be part of a new Christmas tradition for me-read it at Christmas time each holiday season. A truly heartwarming story!

Tracy and Amy decide to celebrate Christmas and their late grandmother’s birthday by inviting the family and trying to bring her grandma’s friend back into the group. Surprising things are found in the attic that brings out past secrets.
