The artwork looks a little rough to me in this one. It's not bad, its simply not polished. I was able to get this story from the Openlibrary.

Fox and Hare are friends and they decide to build their houses next to each other for winter. Hare makes a house of bark while fox makes a house of ice. So Spring thaws foxes house and so he goes and steals Hare's house.

Hare asks some big animals like Wolf, Bear to help him and fox outsmarts them. Rooster is the one who can terrify the Fox and give Hare his book back.

This story is okay, but it didn't make me feel anything and the artwork wasn't great. This story didn't do a whole lot for me. I can see why this book isn't well remembered.
